Bracha on Croutons made from Challah
Question:
I made croutons to be used as additions in salad or snacking from leftover Challah, by baking it with oil. What Bracha will it be? Do I need to wash for it?
Answer:
The Bracha is Hamotzie.
Unless they remained in the salad liquid for a long time and dissolved somewhat and they start to look like pieces of dough, which then the Bracha is Mezonos.
