Parshas Zachor and Covid

 

Question:

This year, due to COVID:

1) Can a kriah of zachor be arranged just for women (and kids) in a shul after davening (withou a minyan and brachos)?

2) If yes, what about having there ten men present who did not yet hear zachor in the morning – does that permit saying the brachos just for the kriah of zachor, meaning without having to lein terumah?

1. No.

ה״ז טלטול ס״ת שלא לצורך. ומעולם לא נהגו כן. וראה שו״ת מנח״י ט, סח. קנין תורה ז, נג. שרה״מ ו, קטז.

 

1. 2. If for whatever reason it is impossible to lein the entire kriah, one may arrange a kriah of only Parashas Zachor, with ten men. Brachos should be recited before and after.
