Hefsek by Krias HaTorah of Shabbos Mincha for Baruch Shep’torani etc.

 

Question:

In general, I know that one may not bentch Hagomel or say “Baruch Shep’torani” after Shlishi/Shvii before kaddish, as not to make a Hefsek.

My question is by Kriah by Mincha, since there is no Kaddish, can one bentch gomel, “Baruch Shep’torani” or make a “mi shebeyrach” after shlishi, or since the kaddish the chazzan says after kriah is also on the Kriah, do the same rules apply for making a Hefsek? If yes, when should a father of a Bar mitzvah boy bentch the brocha if his son is getting shlishi?

 

Answer:

Hagomel – Better to bentch it before shlishi, if not, it can be done right after shlishi.

“Baruch Shep’torani” – since there is no choice, it should be done right after shlishi.

“Mi shebeyrach” – should be made before shlishi.
