I am teaching 8th graders how to make Tzitzis. What is the minimum Kosher size 20″ or 22″? Is it better to get a bigger size?

The minimum size of a Talis Koton – Tzitzis is approximately 19 in. wide and 19 in. long on each side until the hole for the neck Which is a size 20 (20 in.).

It would be better to get a bigger size to take in account inaccuracy in the size and the folds that can happen when wearing the Tzitzis.

I would like to point out that I have seen in some stores (I believe it was Reb Meshulavin’s Merkas Stam and others) a kids size that has the proper shiur.
