Ma’aser for a Milah Course
Question:
Am I allowed to give my Ma’aser money for someone who is doing a course to learn Milah?
Is he allowed to use his own Ma’aser for it. (If this makes a difference in the city, he lives there is no Mohel).
Answer:
If he cannot afford to pay for the course, you may use your maaser money for it.
Regarding him using his own maaser money, it depends: if he is planning to charge for brissim (a subject on its own), he may not use maaser money for the course. But he may consider it an expense and deduct it from the money he will make before he calculates maasser from his profit.
