Some Halachos for Kedusha When Saying Brochos or Learning
Question 1:
When one touched their shoes or a body part that warrants washing their hands (or slept for >30 min), but is in a place that they can’t access water (e.g. public transportation, airplane at certain times, in a car, etc), is it better to abstain from saying brachos (e.g. if one wants to eat), davening, and learning and wait till one can access water?
If not, what should one wipe their hands on to replace water? Stones, wood, and other such rough surfaces are not so common in these settings, so what qualifies?
Answer:
For davening or krias shema, you should wait up to 72 minutes to get water , unless you are worried the zman will pass, in which case you may then clean on anything that cleans.
For learning or other divrei kedusha, to begin with, you may use anything that cleans.

Question 2:
Similar question to above, but instead of ones hands being the issue, it is ערווה. It’s quite common to occur in these settings, especially in the summer, that it is in all directions, so turning one’s face doesn’t really help. Or e.g. if there’s קול אישה that’s unavoidable.
Answer:
When it’s unavoidable, you may rely on the fact you are not looking intently. In regards to music, if you are able to concentrate that you don’t hear or pay attention, you can daven etc.
