If no, what can he do?   Answer: According to many Poskim, one is not allowed to wear the bracelet outside since it is not something that someone usually wears and is not considered a Tachshit (Shemiras Shabbos Kehilchoso 40:32). One can use it to close the cuff of the shirt by opening the sleeve button, and sticking the sleeve under the bracelet so that it is now serving as an…Show more

According to the Alter Rebbe in the Siddur, you have no way to take out the seeds. You have to eat the food and leave the seeds on the plate. If it is not a question of color but of Psak, it should be noted that the Alter Rebbe and the Tzemach Tzedek have unique rulings, specifically in matters of Niddah. Trees may not hang over the Schach of the Sukkah regardless of its height. The בכורי יעקב, however, writes that if the trees were only on the side of the Sukkah even though their height towers and shades off the whole area it is still kosher since they are not hanging directly over the Sukkah. If the tree is only hanging over a very small part of the edge of the Sukkah, at times one may still eat in the Sukkah. The following conditions need…Show more

[YD 190:14] For example, it is within the realm of plausibility for someone to move the pillow between the feet for better support, and then move it back to the head, all while asleep or half-awake, without any recollection the next morning. The dough that was separated for Challah was traditionally given to a Kohen. Nowadays, the custom is not to give it to a Kohen; rather, it is burned until it is totally inedible. In the olden days, it was burned on an open live fire, and that did not cause any problems. However, in our times, it is problematic to burn the Challah in our ovens because it is considered not kosher. The burning Challah can create a non-kosher scent, or even worse, non-kosher steam which could render…Show more
