Interrupting during the last paragraph of the Amidah to say Kaddish

 

Question:

I started saying kaddish for my father a”h and in the one minyan in town, we share being shliach tzibur. When others lead maariv, they daven so fast that I am barely able to finish maariv amidah in time to say kaddish with all the other mourners. Am I able to interrupt during the last paragraph of the Amidah to say kaddish (during elokai nitzur… BEFORE the 2nd yihiyu l’ratzon)?

 

Answer:

In such a situation one can take 3 steps back and say עושה שלום after the first יהיו לרצון and say kaddish and continue with אלוקי נצור afterwards.
