Bochur Wearing a Tallis
Question:
In 770, where the minhag is for a chosson to wear a tallis when receiving an aliyah at his aufruf, should one make a brocha? When one is davening in a shul where the minhag is for the baal tefillah to wear a tallis, should one make a brocha? Does it matter if its your tallis vs. the shul’s tallis?
Answer:
In both cases, one does not have to make a brochoh, but he can if he wants (if he does a proper עיטוף, of course).
Regarding if there’s a difference between a personal tallis and the shul’s tallis: it seems that there’s no difference.
