Why does Chabad say so many Kaddishim, it becomes a chore instead of an uplifting experience, just too much. Also, according to basic Halachah, how many Kaddishim do you have to say?
The saying of Kaddish in general and by a mourner, in particular, has great significance in halacha and more so in kabbala, which is beyond the scope of this answer. Nevertheless, I will give a brief explanation to answer your questions:
Our custom, based on instructions from the previous Rabbeim quoted by the Rebbe, is to say kaddish at least 16 times a day. One of the reasons given is that every Kaddish affects the Neshama for 1 1/2 hours; 16 × 1.5 = 24. Obviously any amount of Kaddish will benefit the Neshama.
The minimum one should try to say is one Kaddish per Davening (after Aleinu).

פעם אחת בכל שלוש תפלות – כך הוא בלבוש סימן קלג, שלכן תקנו להניח הקדיש אחרי עלינו ליתומים שאינם יכולים להיות ש”ץ, ושם כתב “שאין צריך שום דבר יותר ליתומים”. וכך נהג האריז”ל – עיין באבן השהם סי נו. אך ראה בפתוחי חתם שם אות טז שביאר שבשחרית הכוונה לקדיש אחרי פטום הקטורת.
