Sefer Torah fell and landed on atzei chayim

 

Question:

Today I got Pesicha. When I opened the Aron, the Sefer Torah, which was apparently leaning against the door, slipped out. It fell straight down and came to rest standing, leaning against the Aron, landing on the handles rather than falling flat on the floor.

Is there anything I have to do?

 

Answer:

You should accept to fast for half a day. Redeem the other half with tzedaka.
