Knowing the Molad before Birchas HaChodesh

 

Question:

If the Minyan is saying Birchas Hachodesh and you don’t know when the molad is, is it preferred to say it later on, after you can find out? How about for one who anyway isn’t holding where the Minyan is?

 

Answer:

If you will be able to say it later with a minyan while knowing when the molad is that is preferred.

If that is not an option you can still say it with the minyan even though you don’t know the molad.

This is preferred rather than finding out the molad later and saying it alone.
