Making a bracha with a pill under my tongue
Question:
Every morning, I take a tiny vitamin pill that dissolves under my tongue. If I speak, the pill usually stays under the tongue but might move out into the mouth. The pill takes about half an hour to dissolve, and I can’t eat breakfast until it is dissolved.
1) May I say Birkas Hashachar with this pill under my tongue?
2) If not, may I say a bracha that becomes shayach while the pill is dissolving, such as Asher Yatzar or over thunder and lightning?
Answer:
You should not say brachos while it is under your tongue.
If, however, there’s a Brocha which is timely and cannot be said afterwards, it should be said.
