Is it our Minhag to eat colored eggs on Lag Baomer?

 

Question:

There was a Minhag to eat colored eggs on Lag BaOmer. I once heard that we don’t do it any more (Bechukas Hagoyim?). Now it’s going around that it’s Chabad Minhag to eat them. Is this indeed our Minhag?

 

Answer:

There is indeed such a custom, practiced specifically in Lubavitch, Karlin and other circles.

The Rebbe was seen publicly practicing this custom.
