Missing a Parsha (when traveling to Eretz Yisroel)
Question:
I came from Eretz Yisroel to the States after Pesach and will be returning to Eretz Yisroel on Monday, 22 Iyar.
What should I do regarding the Krias HaTorah of Bechukosai that I will miss, considering that the Parshiyos in Chutz La’aretz and Eretz Yisroel are not aligned from Pesach until Tisha B’Av this year?
Answer:
If you cannot find a Minyan either in Eretz Yisroel or in Chutz La’aretz to hear this Parsha, then there’s nothing else you can do about it.
Follow up Question:
If it’s acceptable to the Shul Rav, could the Shlishi at Mincha on the Shabbos before I travel to Eretz Yisroel (20 Iyar) continue reading until the end of Parshas Bechukosai, so that I can hear the entire Sedra?
Answer:
Yes. See similarly here:
