Does the heker on the table when a husband and wife are eating together have to be in between them or can it be anywhere on the table?

Answer:

It doesn’t have to be exactly in between the plates, but it should be close enough that it is considered between husband and wife (not just on the side of the table), and it’s obvious to both the whole time that it is there for the purpose of a heker.
