During the year of Aveilus – Do I Duchen on Yom Tov?

What if there’s no other שומר שבת Kohen? Or no other Kohen at all? In a Chabad house.

Answer:

In Chutz La’aretz, no to all scenarios. You should leave the shul before the chazan begins retzei (and before they ask the Kohanim to wash their hands, if they do that in your Shul).

The only exceptions are if you were specifically called up (before the end of the ברכת עבודה) to duchan or to wash your hands, or if you were inside the shul at the time the chazzan announced “Kohanim.”
