Is there an Inyan of wishing ‘A gute voch, a gute yor’ etc, after Havdalah after Shabbos, Yom Tov, etc?

Are there any sources on this? Or just the minhag that’s passed down and everyone does?

This is the common custom in Chabad. Also, it was reportedly done by the Rebbe.
