Am I allowed to give my coat to my wife to wear if it’s cold or raining and she does not have a coat with her?

 

There is no issue if it does not appear as a mens’ coat. Otherwise, a woman should generally not wear a mens’ coat.

In extraordinary circumstances, when it is cold and she only has this coat, there is room to permit her to wear it, as many poskim are lenient, though there is room to be stringent.
